How to make and keep a fire
The "military instruction handkerchief" was an item used by soldiers from the 19th century, providing easy access to information on weapon handling, cavalry tactics, health guidelines, and geographical reference points. By adapting the information conveyed to the climate crisis we are facing, this series of scarves aim to raise awareness and illustrate what we might have to confront in the future if we fail to meet environmental challenges. This exclusive edition, numbered from 1 to 30, was produced in partnership with the MADD Bordeaux as part of the "We Will Survive" exhibition.
This 100% silk scarf is digitally printed and then hand-dyed with tea and indigo. Natural dyes behave differently from synthetic dyes, and this process can result in color variations. These give each piece a unique look. The color may change over time. These dyes are light-sensitive: do not store in direct light and avoid contact with acidic substances.
